MANILA - Senator Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito will deliver his response to President Aquino's State of the Nation Address on Monday at the Senate floor.
Ejercito has obtained the blessings of Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile to deliver the speech.
But Ejercito won't call it the minority's kontra-SONA just yet as he has yet to receive inputs from other colleagues from the minority.
He has sent drafts of his speech to Senators Tito Sotto and Nancy Binay.
Ejercito said he would deliver the speech as a member of the opposition.
"Depends on Monday. 'Pag makuha ang mga inputs ng ibang senador later, we can say that this will be a minority kontra-SONA. Kung wala silang inputs, then it would be a privilege speech," Ejercito said.
He did not bother to get the inputs anymore of his half-brother, detained Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
"I am pretty sure he will shoot it down kasi hindi pa nga nababasa ang kontra-SONA draft ko e, he said na I have no authority. So baka mainis siya kung padalhan ko pa siya so hindi na ako nagpadala na ako ng draft," Ejercito said.
The title of his speech, he said, is "Ang Tunay na Kalagayan ng Lipunan."
The senator said his speech would touch on the power crisis and "recommendations" regarding the disbursement acceleration program (DAP), among other issues.
