MANILA, Philippines - Former President and now Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Wednesday commiserated with Filipinos who were affected by the floods, saying that the occasion is an opportunity to show courage.
"Time and again, our resolve and strength as a people are tested. We have been through another calamity. And I deeply commiserate with our people esp those who have lost their loved ones," she said in a statement.
She added: "Let this be another occasion to show our courage to face all of life's trials. We should unite as a people to help one another. And most importantly, we should keep our faith in our Almighty that it is through Him that nothing is impossible."
