MANILA - Detained Senator Juan Ponce Enrile will be brought to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) on August 11 and 12 as ordered by the Sandiganbayan 3rd division.
The move is for the continuation of Enrile's medical assessment, in connection with his petition to be detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital for health reasons.
Sandiganbayan Clerk of Court Atty. Dennis Pulma on Thursday said Enrile will be an out-patient for 2 days at the PGH.
Pulma also said the court ordered the PNP General Hospital, the Asian Eye Institute, and the Makati Medical Center to submit the medical records of Enrile to the PGH, which was tasked by the court assess the health of the 90-year-old senator.
In another development, the arraignment of Enrile and his co-accused in 15 counts of graft will not push through Friday as it was reset to August 15.
Pulma said this is due to the pending issue on the amendment of information on the graft cases that were filed by the prosecution.
