MANILA, Philippines - A Palace spokeswoman on Friday said it is up to legislators if they will be swayed by a rally led by the Catholic Church against the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill.
"Everybody is for responsible parenthood. Lahat naman po tayo. Ang sinasabi ni PNoy kahapon, lahat naman po tayo pro-life. Malinaw naman sa katayuan ng Pangulo na ayaw po at labag sa batas ang abortion. As to what effect the rally will have tomorrow, ang makakasagot po niyan talaga 'yung mga pro-RH at anti-RH na tinatawag," Deputy presidential spokeswoman Abigail Valte said.
Valte did not give a categorical answer when asked if the Palace sees a need for another dialogue with the Church.
"At this point na the President has made his position known… Thee President's 5-point position was already put in doon sa draft na pinropose natin sa LEDAC [Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council]," she said.
