DND eyes acquisition of 2 rigid hull boats

MANILA - The Department of National Defense has announced the bidding for two Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats with the integrated support logistics, with an approved budget of P63.15 million.

The boats are built to perform maritime interdiction operations and gas oil platforms takedown. The boats will augment over a dozen of RHIBs currently in the inventory of the Philippine Navy.

The bidding is open to local and foreign suppliers that completed a similar project within the last 10 years. The boats should be delivered within 180 calendar days from the opening of the Notice to Proceed.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled on Thursday at the conference room of the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office in Camp Aguinaldo.
