PNoy to inaugurate INC stadium ahead of centennial

MANILA - The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) will inaugurate on Monday, July 21, the 50-hectare tourism enterprise zone in Bocaue, Bulacan, which also houses the “world’s largest indoor stadium.”

President Benigno Aquino III and INC executive minister Eduardo Manalo will inaugurate the Ciudad de Victoria, including the Philippine Arena that has a 55,000 audience capacity.

Other major structures expected to be completed in the area in the near future are the Philippine Stadium, New Era University, Eraño G. Manalo Medical Center, as well as shops, hotels, and leisure parks.

The influential INC, which practices bloc voting during the elections, is the third largest denomination in the Philippines.

The inauguration will be in time for the INC’s centennial celebration the following Sunday, July 27, which Malacanang has already declared as a special non-working holiday.

Besides Aquino, other government officials will also attemd the inauguration, including Vice President Jejomar Binay.
