MANILA (Updated as of Tuesday, 2:50 p.m.) - Various local governments have declared class suspensions in both public and private schools, for Tuesday, July 15.
This, after weather bureau PAGASA raised public storm warning signal no. 1 over Metro Manila as Tropical Storm Glenda (international name: Rammasun) continued to move towards land.
The class suspensions are:
- Balayan, Batangas
- Camarines Sur
- Medellin, Cebu
- San Juan City
- Talisay City
Pre-school to high school
- Batangas City
- Cebu City
- Quezon City
Pre-school to elementary
- Balagtas, Bulacan
- Hagonoy, Bulacan
- Las Piñas
- Malolos City, Bulacan
Schools, colleges and universities
- Adamson University (all levels)
- Pedagogia School (Nasugbu, Batangas)
- University of Makati
- University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Las Piñas
Work in Makati City Hall has also been suspended today as of 2:30 p.m.
The Department of Education reminded the public on the rules for the automatic suspension of classes in areas where storm warning signals are hoisted. - with reports from ANC, dzMM
