MANILA -- Malacanang said the government is not giving any special favors for Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, who is now under the custody of police forces for alleged plunder.
Enrile again went for his post-operative eye check-up at the Rockwell Center in Makati on Sunday morning. But he immediately went back to the PNP General Hospital, where he has been under custody since his surrender on Friday afternoon.
Enrile surrendered at the PNP after the Sandiganbayan third division found basis to proceed with the plunder and graft raps against him.
Enrile is technically not yet “detained” since the Sandiganbayan commitment order has yet to be issued.
He ended up at the PNP hospital after his blood pressure reached 210/100.
Coloma assured the police are following the instructions from the court.
