MANILA - Senator Juan Ponce Enrile arrived at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame late Friday afternoon.

Enrile turned himself in to PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Benjamin Magalong after the Sandiganbayan Third Division ordered his arrest for his plunder and graft in connection with the pork barrel scam.

The anti-graft court found probable cause against the 90-year old senator, who is accused of amassing millions of pesos by funneling his pork barrel funds to fake organizations set up by alleged scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.

The Third Division also denied Enrile's motion to suspend proceedings against him as well as his motion for bail, calling it premature.

Aside from Enrile, the Sandiganbayan also ordered the arrests of Napoles, Enrile's former chief of staff Gigi Reyes, Ronald John Lim, and John Raymund de Asis.

Napoles has been detained in Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna since last year for a separate case of serious illegal detention filed by whistleblower Benhur Luy.

Reyes, who has been tagged as the alleged "bag lady" of Enrile, has surrendered to the Sandiganbayan.

Lim and de Asis, meanwhile, are still at large.
