MANILA - The Sandiganbayan has reduced by half the bail for three National Agribusiness Corporation (NABCOR) officials who are facing graft charges over the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
The anti-graft court's Fifth Division on Tuesday allowed Rhodora Mendoza, Victor Cacal and Maria Ninez Guanizo to post bail of P15,000 instead of P30,000 per count of graft.
The three are facing five counts of graft each. This means they will have to pay P75,000 each instead of the original P150,000 for their temporary liberty.
The NABCOR is one of the implementing agencies where lawmakers' pork barrel funds were allegedly coursed through.
Meanwhile, newly-appointed Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Teresa Estoesta visited her office today.
Estoesta will be occupying the vacant post at the Fifth Division, which is handling the plunder and graft cases of Senator Jinggoy Estrada. -- Report from Adrian Ayalin, ABS-CBN News
