MANILA - Some of the accused in the graft charges filed in connection with the pork barrel scam are filing motions to reduce their bail.

Budget Undersecretary Mario Relampagos and 3 other Department of Budget and Management (DBM) staff said they cannot afford the total bail of P5,040,000 since they are involved in all graft cases of the three senators.

In their motion, the DBM official and staff members said they are "poor and ordinary employees of the Department of Budget and Management."

They also said they have a fixed income and have no means to put up bail in the amount of P450,000 alone in the Sandiganbayan Third Division.
