MANILA - Malacanang is urging critics of the government’s Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) to just wait for the ruling of the Supreme Court (SC).
Coloma sidestepped a question on whether an adversarial ruling will
open President Aquino to impeachment.
Gabriela Party-list Rep. Luz Ilagan said in a statement, “The continuing corruption, the already delayed and selective prosecution of all those involved in the pork barrel scam as well as the delay in the Supreme Court’s ruling on the DAP is causing much frustration and outrage among Filipinos especially the youth....there will be more protests unless all those involved, including the President himself are made accountable for the corruption. ”
The high court is set to rule on the DAP petitions.
The DAP has become controversial after it was revealed that lawmakers were given the funds during the impeachment process against former Chief Justice Renato Corona.
