MANILA, Philippines - He's not leaving after all.

Former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo has withdrawn his motion seeking permission to travel abroad after the Sandiganbayan Second Division required him to waive his right to ask for the quashing of a graft charge over the Philippine National Police choppers deal.

The Fourth Division of the Sandiganbayan handling his other graft case in connection with the NBN-ZTE deal had earlier approved Mr. Arroyo's request to travel to Japan and Hong Kong this month.

Arroyo, however, decided to cancel his trip so he won't lose his right to question the graft charge against him on the PNP choppers mess.
