MANILA - The former chief of staff of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, Jessica 'Gigi' Reyes, was unable to get immediate relief from the Supreme Court in connection with the plunder and graft cases she faces before the Sandiganbayan.
In a press conference, SC spokesman Theodore Te said the high court merely asked the respondents to comment within 10 days from notice.
Reyes had asked the high court to nullify the findings of the Office of the Ombudsman indicting her and several others for plunder and graft.
She said the Ombudsman denied her due process in finding probable cause for plunder and graft of pork barrel funds.
She is accused of receiving commissions from agents of Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam.
Senators Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada and several others have filed similar petitions before the SC.
The SC has yet to issue a temporary restraining order on their petitions.
