MANILA - A promotional video for the shoe business of Senator Bong Revilla’s son, Brian, was one of the deleted files in whistleblower Benhur Luy’s hard disk.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) showed to media on Thursday the recovered files, including the video for Mint Design Footwear.

Revilla earlier admitted the business is a joint venture by his son and the children of alleged pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim Napoles.

NBI cybercrime division chief Ronald Aguto yesterday said they were able to recover the files, which were deleted around December to January.

The NBI submitted to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee a CD of Luy’s files, which supposedly shows how the plunder of P10 billion from pork barrel funds was done.

Also recovered was a draft letter addressed to then Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap purportedly from lawyer Gigi Reyes, the former chief of staff of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile. The document was not signed.

Also recovered was another draft letter addressed to Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. from Pauline Labayen, a staff of Senator Jinggoy Estrada.

A file entitled “Pinoy request” was also deleted, but not recovered. So too was a file entitled “Boys in the summer.”

Files of religious songs were also deleted and eventually recovered. – from a report by Ruby Tayag, dzMM
