MANILA - National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Virgilio Mendez on Tuesday said they will comply with the deadline of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee for the agency to submit the computer hard drive of Benhur Luy in connection with the pork barrel scam.
The hard drive allegedly contains files showing Janet Lim Napoles' deals with government officials.
The NBI said it will submit more than 30,000 printed pages of the contents of the hard drive, along with a USB device.
The NBI was sent a subpoena on Thursday last week to submit the files to the Senate on or before Wednesday.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada also asked the Senate to subpoena Luy's records given to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Estrada said he wants Luy's records with the newspaper "so that we can compare if they are true, if the documents are authenticated."
Luy's camp earlier said the whistleblower cannot authenticate the newspaper's documents.
