MANILA - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now preparing a soft copy of the hard drive of pork barrel scam primary whistleblower Benhur Luy which contains his "accounting records" of alleged scam queen Janet Lim Napoles' dealings and transactions with lawmakers and other personalities.
This, upon instructions of Justice Secretary Leila De Lima following a Senate subpoena for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and NBI to produce and submit to the Blue Ribbon Committee a copy of the drive.
De Lima said a soft copy will be submitted to the committee.
"It's a subpoena. We need to comply... [I] am asking NBI already make a separate copy sa hard disk kasi ang hinihingi ng committee is soft copy naman, hindi naman printed copy. Napaka-voluminous talaga so soft copy ang hinihingi. I have not seen the subpoena by the way but in anticipation of that I already told NBI to make such a copy," she said.
The justice chief had earlier called on the Blue Ribbon Committee not to make public the contents of the drive and Napoles' affidavits, which the committee also subpoenaed, saying it would be more prudent to first verify all the data.
