MANILA - Janet Lim Napoles will not be able to finish her second, comprehensive affidavit detailing her dealings with lawmakers and other personalities in connection with the pork barrel scam by today, the deadline for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to submit the same to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
Napoles' lawyers informed Justice Secretary Leila De Lima that the completion of the affidavit will be achieved within the week, and that work on it has been slowed down by Napoles' bleeding.
De Lima will formally request for a second extension for its submission with Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman Senator Teofisto "TG" Guingona III.
"Past 12 na wala pa, and then nagtext yung isang lawyer na hindi na talaga kakayanin dahil nga mabagal yung pag-aano ngayon ni Mrs. Napoles because of her health condition so I have no choice but to ask for another extension," she said.
"So am asking until Monday kasi tinanong ko naman, sabi ko am going to ask for a final extension on Monday. So dapat talaga before Monday naibigay na nila sa akin so baka kaya nila tomorrow, pero I will be asking for that extension until Monday. So I'll just be drafting a letter request now addressed to Senator TG Guingona, papadala na lang doon," she added.
