MANILA - On-leave Technology Resource Center director-general and "pork barrel" scam case respondent-turned-state-witness-applicant Dennis Cunanan met with Justice Secretary Leila De Lima at the justice department Thursday morning.
Cunanan was accompanied by his lawyer, Odessa Bernardo.
Cunanan and Bernardo, however, refused to divulge details about the meeting.
Cunanan, who is a provisional witness under the DOJ's Witness Protection Program (WPP), spoke to De Lima about the "pork" case, not about his WPP coverage, Bernardo said.
Cunanan's camp denied his reported departure for Hong Kong last April 5.
"There is no truth na lumabas siya ng bansa," Bernardo said.
Cunanan faces plunder charges before the Ombudsman for alleged complicity in the multi-billion peso siphoning of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of lawmakers, and allegedly pocketing at least P960,000 in commissions.
Cunanan has filed a motion for reconsideration on the Ombudsman's findings recommending his indictment before the Sandiganbayan.
