PAGASA loses chief hydrometeorologist to cancer

MANILA - Dr. Susan Espinueva, chief of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration Hydro-meteorological Division, died on Monday afternoon due to cancer.
This was announced by Philippine Weathermen Employees Association President Ramon Agustin.
As head of the hydro-meteorological division, Espinueva was responsible for monitoring of waterbeds and flooding in the country.
Espinueva, often interviewed on television on floods and dam water levels, is also the president of the Philippine Meteorological Society.
