MANILA - Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday said he has long forgiven his former subordinate, Supt. Cezar Mancao, after the latter linked him to the double murders of publicist Salvador "Bubby" Dacer and driver Emmanuel Corbito.
In a statement, Lacson said he "can't see any cogent reason to comment or react to Mancao's tirades having been declared by the Court no less as incredible."
"I have long forgiven him as I have forgiven those who made me suffer for 9 years of the Arroyo regime. Having said that, I have no interest in him," he said.
The senator said he has been busy campaigning for his son, vice-gubernatorial bet Jay Lacson, in the upland municipalities of Cavite.
Mancao escaped detention Thursday after a court ordered his transfer from the National Bureau of Investigation to a regular jail.
He said that if he is transferred to a regular, “ipapatira ako.”
