MANILA - Team PNoy senatorial candidate Ramon “Jun” Magsaysay Jr. credits his rise in ranking in the latest Pulse Asia survey to “Ser Chief,” actor Dingdong Dantes and his many volunteers.

Magsaysay is referring to Richard Yap, who portrays the role of “Ser Chief” in the phenomenal ABS-CBN Corp. television series “Be Careful With My Heart”.

"Surveys may not reflect their importance. But the sincerity of these two young gentlemen who volunteered their endorsements freely and the countless Kababayans who are all volunteering in my campaign reflect a sense of goodness pervasive in Filipinos. A positive sign always,” he said in a statement.

For the first time since the start of the campaign last February 12, Magsaysay made it to Pulse Asia’s list of 16 probable winners if elections were held during the survey period, April 20-22.

“Sana makita ng tao ang sinseridad ng ating pakikipagkapwa at mabuting liderato, 'yun ang pinakamahalaga,” the former senator said.

Unlike in his previous electoral campaigns, the 74-year-old political veteran has struggled in the 2013 mid-term elections.

Magsaysay is the son of the beloved Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay, who died in a plane crash in March 1957.
