MANILA -- Ruby Tuason is back in the country after spending more than a month in the United States.
Tuason returned to Manila on Tuesday, April 8.
Tuason is included in the Office of the Ombudsman's list of those recommended to face plunder and graft charges in connection with the pork barrel scam.
Her lawyer, Dennis Manalo, on Monday filed a motion with the Ombudsman to relieve her of the plunder charge and decide on her current provisional state witness status which can grant her immunity from the case.
In her testimony, Tuason bared the supposed dealings of Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Senator Juan Ponce Enrile's former chief of staff, Gigi Reyes, with alleged pork barrel mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.
She left for the US last March to sell a house so she can return to the government the P40 million in kickbacks that she received from the pork scam. -- Report from ANC
