MANILA -- Malacanang said everyone guilty in the pork scam – even those abroad – will face justice in the country.

Asked for the Palace’s assurance that those abroad will come back to face raps in the pork scam, Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. told radio dzRB: “Lahat ng dapat managot ay pananagutin… Gagawin ng ehekutibo and lahat ng nararapat na pagkilos.”

Coloma was posed the question after news came out that Ruby Tuason remains in the United States and is trying to sell her real estate properties.

The Office of the Ombudsman earlier found basis to file plunder and graft charges against Tuason and several lawmakers. It has yet to hear Tuason’s request for immunity.

The former social secretary of President Estrada claimed she personally delivered Senator Jinggoy Estrada’s kickbacks. She also claimed she met with Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s chief of staff, Gigi Reyes.

Tuason said the sale of the properties would be used to cover the P40-million kickbacks she received from the pork scam.

Aside from Tuason, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. is also abroad. His lawyer, Joel Bodegon, said he will announce an important news upon his return from Israel.

Reyes and others allegedly involved in the issue are also believed to be abroad.
