MANILA -- Singapore's President Tony Tan Keng Yam is set to pay a courtesy call on President Benigno Aquino III today.

The two leaders are expected to tackle defense, trade, and investment cooperation.

Tan, who is in Manila for a 4-day state visit, will offer a wreath in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Luneta Park before proceeding to Malacañang, where he will attend a state luncheon in his honor.

Tan will also meet with Singaporeans in the Philippines and attend a lunch meeting with the Philippine-Singapore Business Council on Friday to strengthen trade ties between the two countries.

On Saturday, he will visit areas ravaged by super typhoon "Yolanda" and turn over medical supplies in Basey, Eastern Samar.
