MANILA - The camp of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo filed on Monday an urgent motion seeking the Sandiganbayan’s nod to allow members of her immediate family to stay at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center from April 4 to 6.
The family wishes to be with the former President on the occasion of her 67th birthday on April 5 at the Presidential Suite of the hospital.
Visitors are supposed to go home after 9:30 p.m. but the family is requesting that they spend time together for 3 days.
Arroyo is on hospital arrest for her alleged role in the plunder of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office funds.
The Sandiganbayan earlier dismissed her appeal to post bail.
