MANILA - Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales on Monday said the resolution on the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam will be out "sooner than you think."
Asked to clarify on how soon, in the context of rumors that the ones accused of involvement in the scam might leave the country, Carpio-Morales said that "those who leave are probably guilty."
However, she there is nothing wrong with Senator Bong Revilla leaving the country for a vacation in Israel.
Carpio-Morales said if a case against Revilla will be filed before the Sandiganbayan, and the senator does not return to the country, "there are always ways of getting him back."
Morales was at the launch of the revised guidelines of the Inter-Agency Anti-Graft Coordinating Council composed of different government agencies tasked to investigate high-profile corruption cases involving P50 million and above.
