MANILA - The Philippine National Police confirmed businesswoman Janet Napoles will be brought to the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) within the day.
Members of the media have been stationed at the Fort Sto. Domingo since Monday afternoon, but they have not received word from the Napoles’ camp nor from the police as to when exactly she will move out.
On Friday, the Makati Regional Trial Court issued an order allowing Napoles to get hospital treatment for a uterine cyst.
She was not allowed to go to a private facility, however.
“After diligently ascertaining the facts, the averments in the motions and the testimonies given … the court finds sufficient basis to grant the motion. However, the request of the accused that she should undergo surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center should be modified.
Instead, the court directs that the accused will undergo surgical operation at the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak), a government hospital situated within the territorial jurisdiction of this court,” the court said last Friday.
Napoles has been detained at the Laguna camp for months now. She is being tagged as the alleged perpetrator of the pork barrel scam. – from a report by Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
