MANILA – Senator Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Saturday said he is open to running for president in 2016.
Speaking to dzMM, Marcos said running for re-election is his default option in 2016, but he noted that he is also mulling on running for the country's top post in 2016.
Marcos said he is taking his time in deciding which government post to seek in 2016, noting he still studying the political situation in the country.
He added he still busy with his work as a senator to think about his plan for 2016.
Marcos' mother, former first lady and now Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos, had for several times in the past declared her desire for her son to follow in the footsteps of his father, the late former President Ferdinand Marcos.
