MANILA - The Supreme Court (SC) has not acted, for now, on Senator Bong Revilla's plea for the issuance of a temporary restraining order to halt the proceedings against him before the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with the "pork barrel" scam.
Instead, the high court's Third Division, in a resolution dated March 19, directed respondents Ombudsman, National Bureau of Investigation, Atty. Levito Baligod (private complainant), and Ombudsman Field Investigation Office to file their comment on his petition for certiorari within 10 days.
Revilla was charged with plunder for allegedly amassing P224.5 million in kickbacks from ghost projects under the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
He allegedly allocated millions of his PDAF to bogus NGOs linked to alleged "pork barrel" brains Janet Lim Napoles.
