MANILA - Malacanang on Monday disputed Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.'s claims that the Aquino administration is desperate to pin him down.

In an ambush interview, Revilla said the administration wants to go after him and accused outgoing Technology Resource Center head Dennis Cunanan of lying regarding the pork barrel scam.

While looking straight at the camera, Revilla also said, "Secretary de Lima, nahahalata na kayo."

Malacanang, however, maintained the issue is all about evidence.

In a text message, Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said Cunanan volunteered the information on those allegedly involved in the scam.

"Again, we go where the evidence leads us,” he said.

Lacierda earlier said the Department of Justice (DOJ) has yet to decide on Cunanan's status as a witness.

Lacierda was asked Monday if the DOJ can't tap Cunanan as a witness considering questions on whether he received kickbacks from the pork barrel scam.

“I think sinabi na ni Secretary Leila de Lima pag-aaralan ulit nila yung testimony niya," he said. "Noong ininterview nila si Mr. Cunanan, he was very adamant in saying that there was no --- he did not receive any kickback."

"But what is important with the testimony of Mr. Cunanan was merong isang information siya na ibinigay dito na siya lang ang tanging nakapagbigay and therefore, yung buong testimony again ni Mr. Cunanan ay titingnan ulit ng Secretary of Justice," he added.
