MANILA -- Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Wednesday said he is not scared of what on-leave Technology Resource Center (TRC) head Dennis Cunanan might say when he testifies before the Senate tomorrow.
Estrada said he will closely monitor the testimony of Cunanan even if he will not attend the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on the pork barrel scam on Thursday.
"Sabihin niya na lahat ng gusto niyang sabihin bukas. I'm not scared of him," said Estrada, who is one of the three senators facing plunder charges over the multibillion-peso scandal.
"Trabaho niya, kung talagang nakausap niya ako, kung nakita niyang tumanggap ako ng pera, sabihin niya lahat," the senator said.
Estrada said he will address Cunanan's allegations when he delivers his privilege speech next week.
Cunanan, the latest to spill the beans on the pork barrel scam, has claimed that Senators Estrada and Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. "pressured" him via phone to release their pork barrel funds to fake non-government organizations (NGOs) set up by Janet Lim Napoles.
Cunanan has also denied the senators' claims that their signatures in documents for the release of their Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) were forged.
Estrada, however, has maintained that he does not know Cunanan and that he has never talked to him on the phone. -- Report from Ruby Tayag, dzMM
