Chiz praises Poe for 'impressive' debate performance
GENERAL SANTOS CITY - Independent candidates Senators Grace Poe and Chiz Escudero arrived in General Santos City Monday morning to attend the flag-raising ceremony at city hall.
During today's event, Poe laid down some plans in her platform of government, including the construction of a Mindanao railway system, among others.
Escudero, meanwhile, praised Poe for what he believes was an impressive performance of his running mate during the first presidential debate on Sunday in Cagayan de Oro.
"Sa lahat ng mga kandidato, nakita natin na si Senator Poe ay nagpakita ng galing and I believe she will be the next president of the Republic of the Philippines,'' Escudero said.
Poe also took the time to defend her supposed short experience in government.
Poe said many leaders have impressive credentials but have not done their best to improve the lot of many Filipinos.
Poe said.
Escudero added the country should have young leaders.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Poe left General Santos City for a rally in Bukidnon. Escudero proceeded to Sarangani to meet with local officials.
