MANILA - February 25, Monday, is a holiday only for all schools nationwide, to commemorate the anniversary of the EDSA People Power revolution.
This is according to Proclamation 459, signed by President Aquino last August 16, 2012, listing the holidays for 2013.]
It will be the 27th anniversary of the uprising which toppled the Marcos dictatorship.
The Palace says "the EDSA People Power Revolution, which restored and ushered political, social and economic reforms in the country, serves as an inspiration to Filipinos everywhere as a nation and as a people."
