MANILA - Businesswoman Janet Napoles, the alleged pork barrel scam queen, has asked the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) that she be granted immediate medical examination at St. Luke’s Medical Center because of abdominal pains.

In an interview with ANC, Makati RTC Branch 150 clerk of court Diosfa Valencia said Napoles filed the motion “after an initial finding that she has been suffering a pattern of abdominal pains…”

Valencia said Napoles also told the court she has been suffering from “continues menstrual bleeding.”

Despite the urgent motion, the court said it will decide on the request on February 24.

“The doctors who have examined her are still required to appear before a hearing on February 24…for the court to determine the propriety of the motion,” Valencia said.

She denied Napoles filed a motion for hospital arrest.

Napoles is currently detained in Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna in connection with the illegal detention case filed by pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy.

She also faces graft and corruption charges in connection with the pork barrel scam and Malampaya Fund scam.
