MANILA – Senator Edgardo Angara, the principal author and sponsor of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, welcomes the Supreme Court's (SC) extension of an order suspending its implementation.
"Mabuti naman 'yan sapagkat may panahon ang next Congress para marepaso at matingnan kung ano ang dapat i-referine at palitan sa batas," the senator said on Tuesday.
"Kung ano man ang weakness nito ay mabibigyan ng lunas sa susunod na Kongreso,” he added.
The SC has extended the 120-day temporary restraining order (TRO) it earlier issued against the implementation of Republic Act No. 10175.
The TRO was supposed to expire on Tuesday.
