MANILA -- The camp of Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. on Thursday filed a motion at the Office of the Ombudsman seeking to suspend the preliminary investigation on his plunder case.
In a 17-page motion dated January 15, Revilla said he filed a civil complaint before the Bacoor, Cavite Regional Trial Court seeking to nullify the evidence used against him by whistleblowers in relation to his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
Revilla claims that the signatures on the documents used as evidence against him are fake.
He is also seeking to invalidate allegations that he received commissions, after the whistleblowers admitted that they did not see him receive any money from Janet Lim Napoles.
Revilla said the preliminary investigation should be suspended amid the pending civil case. - Reports from Ruby Tayag, dzMM
