Senators endorse panel report on PNP choppers
MANILA, Philippines - Senators ended at a session Tuesday morning their interpellation on the Blue Ribbon Committee report on the investigation of alleged anomalies on Philippine National Police's purchase of second-hand helicopters.
Eleven senators endorsed the Committee report to the Ombudsman.
Senate Majority Leader Tito Sotto inquired to Chairman TG Guingona if the Committee relied solely on the testimony of Archibald Po, the supplier of the helicopter.
Guingona clarified that the report relied not only on Po's testimony but also on other corroborative testimonies of other resource persons and documents that were summoned by the Senate during the investigation.
