Storm leaves Boracay tourists stranded

Despite the bad weather caused by Tropical Storm Seniang, tourists are flocking to Boracay to greet the new year there. But the limited number of boat trips to and from the island on Tuesday left many passengers stranded.

Umabot na sa 21 ang bilang ng mga namatay dahil sa bagyong "Seniang," batay sa tala ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

'Seniang' brought more rains than 'Ruby'

Disaster officials say Tropical Storm Seniang dumped more rains than "Ruby," causing more landslides and severe flooding in areas along its path. The NDRRMC says local government units were given sufficient warning about the storm.
