Globe launches lifestyle bundles at digital fair

MANILA -- Globe Telecom on Friday night launched its latest gadgets and applications to kick off its two-day Digital Lifestyle Expo held at the SM Megamall.

Peter Bithos, chief operating advisor at Globe, said the company has approached its partners to bring relevant products for its consumers.

For instance, since Globe knows majority of the Philippine population do not use credit cards to buy apps online, the tleco decided to partner with Google Play to enable more Filipinos to buy through the internet.

“There’s no need to use a credit card when you buy an app,” said Bithos, noting that only 5 million Filipinos or 5 percent of the population use credit cards.

The Google Play partnership is part of Globe’s Lifestyle Bundles that give customers megabytes of data that can be used for browsing through specific set of apps and sites depending on their particular interests and needs, which include chat, photo, navigation, shipping and productivity.

Available for only P99 a month, the Navigation Bundle provides customers month-long access to apps such as Waze, GrabTaxi, Google Maps, Metro Manila Development Authority and Accuweather for better travelling experience around the metropolis. Moreover, subscribers of the Navigation Bundle get an additional P50 off on their GrabTaxi booking fees.

For chat addicts, Globe has the Chat Bundle. For a monthly rate of P299, customers can access messaging apps such as Facebook Messenger, Viber, KakaoTalk, WhatsApp and WeChat.

The Work Bundle is designed for work and productivity. Available for P299 per month, it gives access to Evernote, Gmail and Yahoo Mail so customers can write notes, check and send email anywhere. Furthermore, subscribers automatically get free 10 gigabit of cloud storage so customers can access their electronic data anywhere. “Your productivity is going to be consistent wherever you are,” said Bithos.

For shopaholics, there is the Shopping Bundles that provide access to,, ebay and Zalora for P299 a month. Subscribers can also get a 5-percent discount when they shop from Zalora.

Meanwhile, Globe has the Photo Bundle for customers love to capture memorable experiences by giving access to Instagram, PhotoRepost, Camera360, PhotoGrid and Intasize for a monthly rate of P299.
