MANILA, Philippines – The Comelec Halalan 2013 mobile application powered by ABS-CBN has just been updated to carry election results when these come in after precincts close Monday.

With version 3 of the app, users of Android, Apple devices, and Windows phone may now know how the elections turn out -- from the senatorial, party-list down to the local races -- even if they are on the go.

The election results feature completes for the Comelec Halalan2013 app users the voter experience as this app has allowed for voter status inquiry, access to election news, complete profile of national candidates and citizen journalism.

Aside from this, the app features step-by-step guide for voters on how to vote and what to do on election day.

The last version of the application has also featured a feed of the latest news and announcements from, the Comelec, infographics, and the “My Ballot” which allowed users to draft their picks.

The application encourages users to actively engage in the democratic exercise and to be vigilant citizens through its "Bayan Mo i-Patrol Mo" section, which accepts user-generated election reports in the form of photos or videos.

The "My Status" feature, a mainstay from version 1, enables users to check their updated voter registration information.

The Comelec app, the first of its kind in the Philippines, was made in partnership with ABS-CBN. It was launched in October 2012 as part of ABS-CBN News’ advocacy to help voters make informed choices for Halalan 2013. It is also in recognition of the growing mobile community in the Philippines.
