MANILA - Google has released a heartwarming short film celebrating the love between a son and his mother, just in time for Mother's Day this weekend.
The 2 minute and 30 second short, uploaded on Thursday, follows 23-year-old director, Aneesh Chaganty, and his journey from San Francisco to a village in India to surprise his mother.
The film, titled "Seeds" and shot entirely on Google Glass, was created by students of the University of Southern California for the Glass Creative Collective --an initiative from Google to encourage aspiring filmmakers to create shorts with the wearable.
"There aren’t a lot of moments in life that are bigger than this one. 'Seeds' is our way of saying "Thank you, Mom," said the accompanying video caption.
Google Glass has a reported price tag of $1,500 (around P65,000). No definite release date has been given by Google for it to enter the mass market but it has been released for initial testing.
