MANILA, Philippines -- Several Kapamilya campaigns were recently recognized by an award-giving body for their creativity and promotion of values through their brand of advertising.
Leading the awardees at the recently held 2012 Araw Values Awards is ABS-CBN Regional Network Group's "Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas," which was given Platinum recognition.
The Philippine tourism campaign takes the form of a music video sung by Angeline Quinto and Vincent Bueno.
It was conferred the top honor for promoting "Love of Country and Respect for National Customs and Tradition for showcasing the Philippines’ beautiful tourist destinations, friendly people and unique culture."
"When we create a campaign, we pay tribute to the Filipino people. It’s not how good we are as a network. It’s more of how good the Filipino people are," said Robert Labayen, head of ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management that is behind the award-winning music video.
Aside from "Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas," five other ABS-CBN campaigns were cited by the Araw Values panel of jurors.
The campaign "BMPM Tayo Na" was given a Silver award for highlighting the values of Commitment to Truth, Honesty, and Integrity.
Another Silver awardee was "Pagbangon: Traffic Enforcer," which was recognized for promoting Respect for Law and Authority and the Promotion of Self-Discipline.
Bronze awardee "Pinoy Summer Da Best Forever" won in the Love of Country and Respect for National Customs and Traditions category.
On the other hand, "Pagbangon: Kapatid" also won Bronze for promoting Respect and Care for Human Life and Dignity and the Rights of All.
"Mural," meanwhile, was given the Bronze award in the category of Concern for and Preservation of Environment.
