MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III recently caught the “Gangnam Style” fever as he was photographed doing the dance move in a family Christmas gathering.

On Tuesday, the official Facebook page of Aquino posted a photo showing the President doing the horse dance popularized by South Korean rapper Psy with his grand nephew Vito.

The photo has received more than 5,000 “likes” on Facebook as of posting, with nearly 400 comments and over 100 shares.

While most of the comments on the photo were Christmas greetings, other netizens used the opportunity to praise Aquino for being “flexible” and for “spending time with his family” during the holidays.

“Our president knows how to step down from his pedestal… he’s perfectly human too like us,” said Facebook user Eileen Arboleda-Orbeta.

“That’s my president. Down to earth,” added user Ljoemol Joemolmat.

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” is the first video to reach one billion views on YouTube, spawning countless parodies from different parts of the world.

The South Korean rapper has scored guest appearances from everyone from Madonna to the head of United Nations.

Just recently, the Department of Health used “Gangnam Style” for an anti-fireworks campaign headed by Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Dr. Eric Tayag.
