Chocolate beer with Chocolate Manna

MANILA, Philippines - Ever wondered what manna tastes like? That biblical "bread from heaven" conjures an image of sweet yellow flakes falling gently from the skies, feeding those who fled Egypt with Moses during the exodus.

Such was the inspiration for the team at Heavenly Chocolates at Roces Avenue in Quezon City with their latest offering called “Chocolate Manna.”

It is composed of thin layers of light moist crêpe, painstakingly filled with hazelnut cream and smothered with chocolate ganache. The French call this cake mille crêpe, literally translated “a thousand” crêpes.

This dessert is strongly recommended for those with a not-so-sweet-tooth. It is light in texture with an almost savory flavor.
