MANILA – Three students garnered cash prizes in Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo’s (BMPM) poster-making contest, a month before the Papal visit to the Philippines.

Hashimi Genova's poster garnered first prize, while Jan Pauline Chua's artwork placed second. Kathleen Buyco's work came in third. The three students received cash prizes amounting to P10,000, P5,000, and P3,000 respectively.

Fifty-three students participated in BMPM's poster-making contest in La Consolacion College Manila on December 16, using a variety of media to create artworks honoring Christ and the Pope’s efforts to help those affected by recent natural disasters.

The posters, mostly made using crayons or water color on paper, centered on the theme "Mercy and Compassion."

The poster-making contest was part of BMPM's "Piyesta para sa Santo Papa (A celebration for the Pope)" heralding the arrival of Pope Francis in the country in January.
