BMPM calls for blood donations for Red Cross

MANILA, Philippines -- Bayan Mo iPatrol Mo (BMPM) is urging Patrollers to make the holiday season more meaningful by donating blood to the Philippine Red Cross.

Those interested to donate blood should be at least 18 years old, had six hours of sleep and is in good physical condition. Donors could go to Barangay Bagumbuhay Covered Court, Project 4, Quezon City on Friday from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Anchored on the theme "BMPM: Tayo Na sa Pasko ng Pagbabago," BMPM's Christmas Pledge Fair aims to encourage Bayan Patrollers to pledge their time in their chosen groups.

Organizations that will participate in the event are the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting and the Youth Vote Philippines, who will look for volunteers; the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Regional Emergency Assistance Communications Team and Philippine Animal Welfare Society, who will look for re-packing volunteers; the Fully Abled Nation who will look for volunteers who can assist persons with disability voters on election day; and the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan who will look for election volunteers.

Bayan Patrollers will be treated to the music of River Maya, Barbie Almalbis, Bugoy Drilon, 6 Cyclemind, Moonstar 88, Malay, Tanya Markova, Absolut Play and Save Me Hollywood.

Eco-bags and magnets will also be given to BMPM registrants.
