MANILA, Philippines -- The Manila concert of South Korean superstar Psy has been bumped off by two months, according to the show's local promoter.
"The Gangnam Show" has been postponed to February 2013, concert producer Joed Serrano of Thats Ntertainment and Ovation Productions said.
Serrano, in a statement, cited logistical issues as the reason for the postponement.
The concert was originally set on Thursday at the SM Mall of Asia. Several Kapamilya artists, including Anne Curtis and Ai Ai delas Alas, were earlier announced to join the rapper-dancer behind the global hit "Gangnam Style" in the concert.
First uploaded in July on YouTube, the music video for "Gangnam Style" now has the most number of views on the video-sharing site. As of writing, it is nearing 972 million views.
Owing to its music video's viral spread online, "Gangnam Style" has become a cultural phenomenon of sorts, spawning countless parodies from different parts of the world.
It also paved the way for the international popularity of Psy, who has since performed alongside other international celebrities, including Madonna.
