MANILA – After postponing its grand launch several times, Halloween Haunts Scream Park Manila assured the public that it will surely open its doors to the public before Christmas Day.
“Scream Park will be opening 100% before X’mas 2013 and will be 100% complete,” Scream Park Manila said in a post on its Facebook page over the weekend.
It added that the horror attraction is now preparing for its “major” Christmas and New Year events.
“New updates will be provided to all over the next few days,” it said.
Several netizens, however, were skeptical about the latest announcement, as shown by their comments on Scream Park Manila’s Facebook page.
“Seriously?” said Maria Salvatore Toledo.
“Totoo na ba ‘yan?” said Katherine Moraleda.
“Epic fail na naman ‘yan for sure,” added Luisa Blaire.
Scream Park Manila postponed its grand opening last December 6, citing problems with contractors.
Marketed as the first horror theme park in Asia, Scream Park Manila was initially scheduled to open on October 31, just in time for Halloween.
This was moved to November 7 because of delays in construction, then to November 30, and eventually to December 6.
The numerous postponements prompted a number of netizens to suspect that Scream Park Manila may be a scam.
The theme park, however, denied the rumors.
