MANILA, Philippines -- A father-and-son duo is travelling across the Philippines to rediscover the lost, great recipes of the country in a new locally produced reality cooking show.

Cable channel Lifestyle Networks debuted on Saturday a new culinary show "Chefscapades" that features father-and-son chefs Gene and Gino Gonzales.
Owner of Cafe Ysabel, Gene studied at the Culinary Institute of America and is the author behind the cook book "Cocina Sulipena."
Gino, on the other hand, is executive chef at Cafe Ysabel, and is a certified chef of the USDA.
In the show, both father and son visit prominent families in different parts of the country. In return for their hospitality, they prepare meals inspired by local cultural heritage at their hosts' ancestral homes.
Chefs Gene and Gino will also take on the challenge of creating their version of a local popular dish, made from the finest ingredients found in the area.
For the show's first week on air, the father and son's culinary adventure will take them to Batangas, Pampanga and Quezon.
"Chefscapades" starts airing December 15 on Lifestyle Network (SkyCable channel 52), with daily episodes thereafter.
